"Friday, the 4th of August was Vision Generation's (World Vision's youth movement) Toilet Door Night on Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Toilet Door Nights aim to dispel those uneducated and mis-informed comments that we often see on the back of toilet doors. We aim to educate and motivate our members to adovcate and fundraise on behalf of the world's poor. Actors for Refugees, in a brilliant, thought provoking and informative performance certainly empowered the VGen members, aged 15 to 24years of age, to be better informed about the issues affecting the plight of refugees so that they too can take action and better the world they live in. It is through speakers such as AfR that VGen members can be inspired to be effective adocates for those in our society who have no voice." Alana Smith. Chair, Vision Generation |
